COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A 74-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday evening in the parking lot of Bingo World, according to police.
The robbery happened at about 6:51 p.m., Wednesday at Bingo World in the 200 block of South Academy Boulevard.
The 74-year-old victim told police he was walking from his vehicle toward the building when he was confronted by three suspects and was hit in his head with a gun. Police said the victim fell down and when he looked up, one of the suspects was demanding all his money and was pointing a gun at him.
Police said the victim did not give any money to the suspect. That's when the suspects fled the area, running west.
The victim suffered a laceration to his face, police said. He was treated and released at a local hospital.
Police searched the immediate area but were not able to locate the suspects.
One suspect is described as a black male in his 20s wearing a dark green, possibly camouflage jacket. This was the suspect who was holding the gun.
The other suspects, according to police, were described also as black males in their 20s wearing dark hoodies.
