Missing 12-year-old found safe

Manitou Springs, Colo. -- Authorities have confirmed that 12-year-old Emily Hermenitt has been found safe.

We're working on getting more information on the story. .

Authorities started searching for the girl around 4:40 p.m. That's when El Paso County Search and Rescue got the call.

They said she separated from her family while hiking on the Paul Intemann Memorial Nature Trail.

According to Emily's parents, she has hidden before and considers it a game.

Authorities were consistently working, because they were worried about dropping temperatures.
