The Waldo Canyon Fire is now the most devastating fire in Colorado's history.
UPDATE from 8 a.m. Press Conference
The most devastating fire in Colorado's history has claimed one life and burned 347 homes, officials said.
Colorado Springs Police said crews found a body within fire debris in the 2900 block of Rossmere Street on Thursday.
More than 1,000 firefighters are working to extinguish the blaze that is burning 16,750 acres. It is now considered to be 15 percent contained, according to the U.S. Forest Service.
Fire officials are estimating the fire will be contained on July 16.
Friday marked day two of Colorado Springs not being under a Red Flag Warning, meaning conditions are not as extreme for wildfire growth.
It was Sunday when the fire originated and started to spreak, the U.S. Forest Service said.
President Barack Obama is expected to arrive on Friday to assess the damage from the fire.
In Douglas County, pre-evacuation warnings have now been cancelled, officials said.
