A Colorado Springs woman is behind bars after taking off with a two year girl Monday night.
Colorado Springs police said 38 year old Tonia Shetina is charged with kidnapping after she was found with Essence Lovato Wednesday afternoon. The toddler's mother reported Essence missing Tuesday night, 24 hours after Shetina was supposed to be taking the girl to her grandfathers house.
Wednesday afternoon, CSPD found the pair at a house south of Fountain. Essence was uninjured.
Shetina was taken into custody last night and charged with 2nd degree Kidnapping and Motor Vehicle Theft, and is being held on a $100,000 bond.
