TELLER COUNTY, COLO. -- An arsonist who may be responsible for at least a dozen fires in Teller County is still on the loose after deputies released a suspect Thursday night.

Teller County Sheriff's deputies said 10 intentionally-set fires occurred in a three day time span, including seven within two hours of each other Wednesday afternoon.

After taking a person of interest for questioning, deputies didn't make an arrest, releasing the suspect. They said they are still looking for at least one or more people.

Additional fires were set Thursday. Deputies are warning residents to be on alert, especially with Friday's high temperatures and dry conditions.

Fire danger remains extremely high, and a wildfire continues to burn in nearby Park County.
