72-year-old man arrested for beating woman

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers arrested a man Thursday afternoon for allegedly assaulting a woman in what they're calling a domestic violence case.

A woman showed up at an urgent care around 2:30 p.m. with visible injuries on her arms and face and was later taken to the hospital.

Officers went to her home in the 7800 block of Ash Creek Heights and arrested 72-year-old Evert Carson for several criminal charges.

The woman was released after being treated for her injuries.
