FREMONT COUNTY, COLO. -- Colorado State troopers have released the name of the woman who died in a crash on Highway 50 Thursday afternoon.

Troopers said 41-year-old Heather Dunn died when a car going the wrong way crashed into her. According to troopers, 60-year-old William Shaffer, a North Liberty, Iowa resident, was driving westbound in the eastbound lane of Highway 50 about three miles west of Howard, Colo. in Fremont County around 12:15 p.m.

Dunn was driving east in the correct lane when she collided head-on with Shaffer's car.

Dunn, from Cotopaxi, Colo., was not wearing a seatbelt and died. Shaffer had minor injuries.

Troopers suspect Shaffer was on drugs at the time of the crash. No charges have been filed as of Friday morning.
