LAMAR, COLO. -- Lamar Police officers have arrested a man for allegedly stealing a stereo from a car.
Officers went to the 800 block of South 13th Street Sunday after someone reported the theft.
The suspect, 24-year-old Daniel Marez, ran but left shoeprints, which officers were able to track to a home three blocks away.
After a short chase, officers caught up to and arrested Marez for burglary, criminal trespass, theft, possession of a schedule II controlled substance and resisting arrest.
Officers found the stereo and other items when they searched his home.
Marez, who was wanted on previous charges, has $60,000 worth of bonds.
