COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs police are searching for who is responsible for shooting more than 10 rounds into an unoccupied school early Thursday morning.

Police said at least three suspects fired about 11 rounds near Canon Elementary, located in the 1200 block of West Cheyenne Road, near Cresta Road, sometime overnight.

The school was unoccupied but one of the rounds hit a window and caused a small amount of damage, police said.

According to police, the suspects left the area in a silver Volkswagen Jetta and a red 1990s model Oldsmobile.
