FORT COLLINS, COLO. (AP) -- The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has postponed a prescribed burn at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge because of dangerous fire conditions on the Front Range.

The burn was scheduled for Tuesday, but officials say the weather is not cooperating.

Meanwhile, firefighters are continuing to battle a wildfire in the foothills west of Fort Collins that is being hammered by gusty winds.

Firefighters said the 1,300-acre Galena Fire was 85 percent contained Monday evening.

The fire has damaged numerous pedestrian bridges in Lory State Park. That park and Horsetooth Mountain Park have been closed due to the fire.
