Police say speed a factor in deadly crash

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that killed a man late Tuesday night.

Police said the driver lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree in the 5000 Block of Charlotte Parkway near Stetson Hills and Tutt Boulevard.

Police said the driver was transported to a hospital where he later died.

The investigation revealed speed was a factor in the crash.

Police said the name of the victim will not be released.
