COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) is searching for witnesses of an overnight motorcycle crash.
According to the CSP, a motorcycle was traveling on southbound Interstate 25 near North Academy when it traveled off the left side of the road, lost control and rolled.
Authorities said the rider, 52-year-old Andrew Fodera of Colorado Springs, was ejected. He was transported to the Penrose Main with serious injuries.
CSP said a vehicle also traveling southbound stuck Fodera. It continued without stopping, possibly believing it only hit debris, CSP said.
Additional information is sought after investigation, authorities said. CSP is interested in speaking with one of the people who stopped immediately after the crash, including a female who was driving a pickup, possibly red or maroon in color with Kansas tags.
Any witnesses are also encouraged to contact the CSP. The CSP can be reached at (719) 544-2424.
