U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, COLO. -- An Air Force Academy cadet was convicted and sentenced on Friday to sex charges.

Cadet 2nd Class Anthony D. Daniels, Jr., was convicted of attempted sodomy on one victim and attempted sodomy and wrongful sexual contact with a second victim.

According to Academy officials, Daniels was found not guilty of aggravated sexual contact and forcible sodomy on the second victim. He, instead, was found guilty of the lesser offense of wrongful sexual contact.

Daniels was sentenced to eight months confinement and dismissal from the Air Force.

The court martial, or military court, started on Tuesday. Officials said a panel of five officers returned the verdict on Thursday and issued the sentence on Friday.
