PUEBLO, COLO. -- The Colorado State Patrol is continuing to investigate a crash that killed a pedestrian late Wednesday evening on Interstate 25 north of Pueblo.

According to CSP, a 1999 silver Acura 3.2TL, driven by 57-year-old Howard Stringert of Colorado Springs, was traveling northbound in the left lane of I-25 about one mile north of Pueblo when it hit a 25-year-old man.

The crash happened near exit 104 at about 9 p.m.

CSP said the pedestrian was standing in the left lane of the Interstate before being hit. His identity is not yet being released, pending notification of his next of kin.

Investigation into the crash continues but authorities said neither speed nor alcohol appear to be factors.
