COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The man who drove a vehicle the wrong way on Interstate 25 Wednesday evening is being charged with Driving Under the Influence of Drugs.

At about 2 p.m., police received reports of a maroon SUV going southbound in the northbound lanes on I-25 around the North Nevada interchange.

Traffic cameras indicated the vehicle pulled over near Garden of the Gods but then got back in the vehicle and took off again, police said.

Police used stop sticks to try to stop the vehicle but the driver kept driving with flat tires.

The man, identified as 49-year-old Scott Loos was eventually stopped about one-fourth of a mile south of Fillmore.

Loos was arrested for DUID.
