School district says this is the 3rd student hit this school year
COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A Palmer High School student was hit by a car late Wednesday morning, according to police.
Police said one car was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Platte and Weber when a second car hit it. The impact of the crash, police said, sent the first car into the student.
The male student was in the crosswalk. He reportedly had a lot of blood on his face and suffered a possible broken nose, police said.
School officials said he is the third PHS student to be involved in a vehicle-pedestrian crash this year.
The student suffered only minor injuries and was transported to the hospital for observation, police said.
