Woman arrested for kicking police officer

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs police have arrested a woman for kicking an officer and interfering with the investigation of an accidental shooting.

Springs Police say a man shot himself in the chest with an antique shotgun early Friday morning.

When responding to the call, officers arrested the victim's step-daughter, 19-year-old Kimber Dorsey, because she was interfering with the investigation.

While Dorsey was being taken into custody, she kicked one of the officers. The officer suffered a minor injury on his hand, but was able to return to work without needing medical treatment.

Dorsey was booked for Second Degreee Assault on an officer and Obstruction.

The shooting victim was transported to a local hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.
