PUEBLO, COLO. -- A 35-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries in a hit-and-run crash late Sunday evening, according to police.

At about 10:30 p.m., police said a 1990s model full-sized truck hit a 35-year-old man who was crossing the street at West 29th Street and Country Club Drive.

According to police, the man suffered major trauma to his head and lower body. He was taken to Parkview Hospital in serious condition.

“We need the help of the community to locate the driver of this vehicle," Sgt. Chris Noeller said. "If anyone has any information which could help officers locate the truck or driver, please call Pueblo Police Department Dispatch at 719-553-2502.  We would also ask any witnesses who were not contacted by officers to call.”

Police said the suspect was last seen driving westbound on West 29th Street passing High Street. The truck is described as a 1990s model regular cab, full-size truck, maroon with two-inch stripes down the sides. The vehicle may have green and white Colorado license plates and may also have damage to the front and driver's side.
