GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. (AP) -- Strong winds and heavy snow are bringing whiteout conditions to parts of western Colorado.

The National Weather Service said Friday snow is becoming widespread west of the Continental Divide. Snow is expected to move over parts of the Front Range and Eastern Plains as the storm moves east.

Forecasters say sub-zero temperatures are expected in the mountains on Saturday.
