COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- The two boys who died after being hit by an SUV while pushing a stalled van in Colorado Springs Monday afternoon have been identified.

The El Paso County Coroner said 17-year-old Leondro Carabajal and 9-year-old Neto White died Monday. The boys and one other person got out of a van when it ran out of gas in the left lane of Pikes Peak Avenue at Parkside Drive and tried to push it. Robert Icenogle came up behind the van in his SUV and couldn't stop in time when he realized the van wasn't moving.

He smashed into the three. Carabajal died at the scene, and White died at a hospital. The third person pushing the van had moderate injuries.

Five people were still in the van when the SUV hit it, and three of them were also hospitalized.

Icenogle is facing DUID and vehicular homicide charges. He was not hurt.
