COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A man who stole a laptop, then sold it to someone who pawned it has been arrested.
Colorado Springs Police officers arrested 38-year-old Corban Elmore Tuesday after a three-week long investigation.
On Oct. 29, someone stole a laptop and two guns from an address on Rockwell Drive. Officers tracked the laptop to a pawn shop, where they learned it had been pawned by another person who had bought it without knowing it was stolen.
Investigators tracked the sale to Elmore, who had been charged with other burglaries in the past. He will be charged with theft by receiving in this case.
Officers said they are continuing the investigation and anticipate additional arrests in this case.
