COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A Colorado Springs woman is telling police officers she was sexually assaulted by a man while getting her mail Saturday night.
According to Colorado Springs Police officers, a woman was at her community mailbox at University Village around 8 p.m. when a man came up from behind, put his hand over her mouth and held a knife to her side.
The woman said he forced her into a nearby field where he sexually assaulted her until being spooked by a car that drove by.
The suspect is a 6'2" - 6'3" white man with a medium build in his late 20s or early 30s. He has short, dark hair and a 2-3 day beard.
