(AP) -- WESTMINSTER, Colo. (AP) -- Colorado's Missing Children Foundation has canceled an event using the name of a slain 10-year-old Westminster girl after her family said to stop using her name and likeness for fundraising.

Foundation board member Ben Bargas has said his organization was formed by volunteers who looked for Jessica Ridgeway after she was abducted Oct. 5. After Jessica's body was found, the volunteers formed a foundation to help all missing Colorado children.

The foundation had advertised a fundraising event Saturday called the "Remember Jessica Purple Ribbon Tattoo Benefit." The Ridgeway family said Wednesday it wasn't involved in the event and had issued a cease-and-desist letter telling the foundation to stop using Jessica's name.
