Women who died while walking across street ID'd, baby still in hospital

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers have released the names of the two women who died after being hit by a car while walking across a street with a baby in Colorado Springs Monday morning.

The baby's mother, Rebecca Robinson and her friend, Rose Arcuragi, were hit by a car while crossing North Carefree Circle at Picturesque Drive around 8 a.m.

The 14-month-old baby was still strapped into the stroller after the crash and was taken to the hospital.

Jennifer Eggleton was the woman driving the car. No charges have been filed against her yet, and the investigation is ongoing.

Robinson is in her late 20s, Arcurago is in her mid-50s and Eggleton is in her early 40s, but officers could not give exact ages.

There is no crosswalk at Picturesque.
