COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Two women are dead after being hit by a car while pushing a stroller across a road in Colorado Springs.

Colorado Springs Police officers said the women were walking across North Carefree Circle at Picturesque Drive around 8 a.m. Monday when they were hit by a car.

Both died at the hospital.

A baby in a stroller was crying but was still strapped in and was not hurt.

There is no crosswalk or stoplight at Picturesque.

Westbound North Carefree is closed from Picturesque to Oro Blanco Drive. Officers are urging drivers to take an alternate route.
