GOLDEN, COLO. -- The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said a man accused of trying to kidnap a 13-year-old boy in Golden has turned himself in.

Authorities said they have spoken with the suspect, and no abduction charges are pending.

They said the 18-year-old man went to police Saturday night, and told them he approached he 13-year-old boy to get information about an ex-girlfriend who lived down the street.

As for the vehicle description, investigators said it was similar to one given in two earlier attempted abductions in September in Arvada, but the man involved in Saturday's false alarm is not the suspect.
