PUEBLO, COLO. (AP) -- A Pueblo County deputy is facing charges after his ex-girlfriend said he held her hostage.

Detention deputy Randal Scott Alire is accused of menacing and domestic violence after his ex-girlfriend said he held her at gunpoint during a six-hour ordeal on Monday.

The unidentified woman said Alire drove her around in a car while pointing a gun at her.

According to KRDO-TV, the deputy later gave back the car keys and said she was free to go.
