COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A man punched a Colorado Springs Police officer in the face Tuesday night after telling them he had a gun and was holding 10 people hostage.

Officers said they got a call from 23-year-old Donatillo Terrazas telling them he had two guns and was holding one to a woman's head while holding nine others hostage.

Officers found Terrazas in the 1600 block of South 21st Street. He punched one of the officers in the face before being arrested.

It turned out Terrazas did not have any guns or hostages. He was taken to a hospital before being booked on charges relating to the attack on the officer.

The officer was not seriously hurt.
