Woman killed while walking across I-25 in Pueblo

PUEBLO, COLO. -- One woman was killed after being hit by an SUV on I-25 in Pueblo Tuesday morning.

The woman was walking across northbound lanes of traffic at the Highway 50 bypass when the Subaru hit her, according to Pueblo Police officers.

Officers closed northbound I-25 at 13th Street while they cleared the scene, but lanes have since opened. They haven't released any other information.

Around 8 a.m. Tuesday southbound I-25 was closed south of Pueblo after a semi-truck caught fire.
