Woman arrested for fatal hit-and-run

A Canon City woman was arrested today following a hit-and-run crash earlier this week

Natalie Habig was arrested this afternoon in connection with Tuesdays hit-and-run.  Canon City Police say the 35 year old local resident is charged with vehicular homicide and hit-and-run causing death  following the crash that injured Kyle Keefe, also of Canon City. Police say 49 year old Keefe was riding his bicycle at Field Avenue and Leslie Lane when he was struck by a pickup truck.. He died Wednesday night. 

Investigations by police and the local Combined Investigative Response Team (CIRT), along with tips from citizens, led to the arrest of Habig.  She is being held at the Fremont County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.
