COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A liquor store employee stopped an attempted shoplifting effort when he punched the suspect in the face Monday evening.
According to Colorado Springs Police officers, Carl Greer walked into Harry's Liquor on South Nevada Avenue around 5:05 p.m. and tried to steal two beers.
As Greer was leaving, the clerk confronted him outside. Greer swung at him but missed, and the employee hit Greer in the face, knocking him to the ground.
Officers found him bleeding on the ground in the parking lot when they arrived.
Greer remains at a hospital.
