DENVER (AP) -- The leaders of Colorado's two major political parties are holding their own debate.

Ryan Call, chairman of the Colorado Republican Party, and Rick Palacio, chairman of the state's Democratic Party, are planning to discuss topics Monday that will influence the race for the White House, including the economy, Colorado energy issues and the impact of the election on the U.S. Supreme Court.

Former Democratic Gov. Dick Lamm will be the moderator of the debate at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Lamm says Colorado's nine electoral votes are drawing national attention and there are issues that still need to be addressed.
