COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A shooting overnight in Colorado Springs left one man in the hospital, and police searching for the shooter.

Officers went to the I-HOP restaurant at 512 N. Chelton Rd. just before 3 a.m. Sunday to investigate a disturbance with a gun.

While en route, police were informed a man had been shot.

At the restaurant they found a male victim lying in the parking lot with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was taken to a local hospital and treated for serious injuries, not believe to be life-threatening at this time.

Witnesses identified the suspect as an 18 to 20-year-old white male, around 5'8" tall, weighing between 150 and 160 pounds. He may have been driving a maroon, 4-door vehicle.

Anyone with information should call police at 444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
