DENVER (AP) -- A dispute over how to describe marijuana legalization to Colorado voters is on hold.

A Denver judge delayed a decision Monday on whether to allow marijuana activists to block the printing of the voters' guide. The pot activists say the Legislature improperly deleted arguments in favor of legalization

A lawyer for the state Legislature argued that the judiciary can't interfere because the guide is a product of a separate branch of government. A decision on that question was delayed until Wednesday.

The Campaign to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol filed a lawsuit in Denver District Court after a state panel edited some of the comments.

Lawmakers cannot change ballot language, but they can change how proposals are described to voters.
