DENVER (AP) -- Latino voting advocates are hoping for a post-convention bounce in Colorado as they plan two voter registration drives.

Todos A Votar, or "Let's Vote," aims for a record 12 million Latinos to vote on Nov. 6. The group plans to join an executive from the Service Employees International Union for voter drives in Pueblo and Denver on Friday.

Nationwide, Hispanics made up 13 percent of the 2008 electorate in the presidential election, compared with 8 percent in 2004.

In battleground Colorado, the campaigns of both President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney have launched outreach efforts seeking Latino votes.
