COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A teenage boy is in jail Thursday morning after turning himself in following a crash that killed two people a few weeks ago.
Colorado Springs Police officers said 19-year-old Khalil Sanders turned himself in around 3 p.m. Tuesday after officers got a warrant charging him with vehicular homicide in the death of a Springs couple.
Investigators said Sanders was driving east on a west-only portion or Sawyer Way, didn't stop at Murray Boulevard and hit a southbound car on Murray.
The couple, 71-year-old Mary Ann Allison and 67-year-old Teddy Allison, both died in the hospital from injuries they had during the crash.
Sanders had minor injuries but was released from the hospital shortly after the crash.
