COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. (AP) -- Colorado Springs firefighters are investigating a suspicious fire outside a hookah lounge.
More than a dozen firefighters rushed to the strip mall on Wednesday to put out the fire and keep it from spreading.
Investigators tell KKTV-TV witnesses saw flames coming from the side of the building at the Academy Tower strip mall early Wednesday and authorities suspect arson.
The lounges sell nicotine or non-nicotine tobacco, which is smoked in a hookah, a Middle Eastern pipe with several connecting hoses so that multiple people can smoke at the same time. Opponents say the pipes can also be used for illegal drugs.
