BOULDER, COLO. (AP) -- A student gun-rights group that won a lawsuit against a gun ban at the University of Colorado is miffed after the university barred students with concealed carry permits from bringing guns into dorms on its Boulder campus.

Mountain States Legal Foundation attorney James Manley tells the Boulder Daily Camera (http://goo.gl/IzVtU ) that he is reviewing the decision and may ask a judge to rule on the new policy.

The policy announced Thursday is in response to a March Colorado Supreme Court ruling that said CU can't ban permit holders from bringing guns to campus.

Chancellor Phillip DiStefano says the policy is a reasonable way to adhere to the court's ruling and protect students, faculty and staff.
