COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Two people are in critical condition following a two-car rollover accident Sunday morning.

It happened around 10:45 at the intersection of Murray Boulevard and Sawyer Way.

Springs Police said one of the cars flipped over, and hit a nearby apartment building.

Two people had to be removed from their cars by firefighters.

The accident closed southbound Murray at Constitution Avenue for a short time.

As for the building, the CSFD's Heavy Rescue Team was called out to asses the damage.

"There was just one wall that was compromised slightly, but the structural integrity of the building is still in tact," CSFD Lt. Fred Varnell said.

Varnell said it is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
