COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Colorado Springs Police officers said two men who tried to rob a convenience store near Old Colorado City are in the hospital recovering from gunshot wounds.
According to officers, the two men tried to rob the Smoker King Business in the 1900 block of West Uintah Street around 9:58 p.m. Wednesday. Somewhere in the process, the two armed robbers were shot and taken to the hospital.
Both are expected to survive.
Officers did not say who shot the men or how they were shot but said the investigation is ongoing and everyone involved has been identified.
