COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A robbery attempt at a Colorado Springs Waffle House quickly went awry Monday morning when a gunman and his partner in crime ran off.

Colorado Springs Police officers said two men approached an employee outside of the restaurant in the 700 block of West Fillmore Street around 2 a.m. and demanded money.

One of them had a gun, but the employee quickly ran back into the store. The suspects ran off and were not seen again.
