ASPEN, COLO. (AP) -- A Castle Rock man is facing assault charges after he gave an Aspen hotel clerk a pat on the back.

The clerk says the man slapped him hard after he gave the man's wife another key to get into their hotel room following a domestic dispute.

According to the Aspen Daily News, 55-year-old John Haggar denied the allegations. Haggar is due in Pitkin County Court on Sept. 18.
