Election to move ahead as planned despite fire

EL PASO COUNTY, COLO. -- The2012 Primary Election in El Paso County will move ahead as planned despite a wildfire that has forced thousands in the county to evacuate their homes.

Ballots are due by 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Clerk and Recorder's Office. Evacuees who don't have ballots handy can request new ones by calling (719) 575-8683 or email elections@elpasoco.com 

There are curbside ballot drop-off locations throughout the county, and voters can also take their ballots to any one of the drop-off locations.
