BELLVUE, COLO. (AP) -- More residents are being evacuated by a wildfire burning on more than 100 square miles in northern Colorado as winds pick up.

The wind has caused several spot fires Friday, and authorities have sent out 733 new evacuation notices.

Some of those residents were evacuated after the fire flared up on Sunday and had only returned home Wednesday.

Firefighters have been watching for spot fires because of the return of hot, dry, windy conditions at the fire, which is 60 percent contained.

Meanwhile, a 1,150-acre wildfire burning near Lake George is 57 percent contained.

In western Colorado, a fire burning for more than a month near Pagosa Springs has grown by about 1,300 acres in the last 24 hours, sending out a column of smoke. Two ranches have been evacuated.
