Prison escapee on the loose in southern Colorado

PUEBLO, COLO. -- Pueblo Police officers are asking for the public's help finding a man who escaped from a state prison.

Officers said 21-year-old John Garnier escaped from the Colorado Department of Corrections recently.

Garnier is about 6' tall and weighs 185 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos on his neck and both arms.

Garnier is currently wanted for escape and was serving prison time for possession of a weapon by a previous offender, criminal impersonation and attempted escape.

Officers are asking anyone with information on him to call Pueblo Crime Stoppers at (719) 542-7867.
