COLORADO -- Temperatures along the Front Range from Pueblo all the way up to Fort Collins are expected to hit record-highs Monday as the dry air continues in Colorado.

Colorado Springs could get up to 99 degrees Monday, which would break the record-high by three degrees. The average temperature for June 18 in the city is 80.

As hot as that is, Colorado Springs will feel cool compared to some other places along the Front Range. Pueblo could get as hot as 106, which would be 18 degrees above average and break the record by two degrees.

Things don't get any better as you head north on I-25. The National Weather Service reports Denver could hit 100, which would break the record of 99 set 22 years ago. The average high is 83.

In Fort Collins, where a massive wildfire has been burning for nine days, temperatures could also reach triple digits, and the air will remain smoky and hot because of the fire, which is 45 percent contained.

Other areas in the southeastern plains are expected to be between 100 and 105, Alamosa, normally cooler in the San Luis Valley this time of year, will push 90, and mountain areas will also see above average temperatures.

With high winds also expected in some areas, there is a Red Flag warning for some areas of Colorado. Many counties have also activated fire restrictions, which means no open burning.

Statewide temperatures are expected to cool by Wednesday, which is the official start to summer.
