COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- Two people are in the hospital with unknown injuries after a semi-truck crashed into a car and overturned on Fountain Boulevard at Academy Park Loop in southeastern Colorado Springs Tuesday.
The driver and a passenger in the car were both hospitalized after the truck hit it around 12:30 p.m.
Colorado Springs Fire officials had to pull the driver from the car after he was pinned.
Officials did not say how the crash happened, nor did they give any information on the victims.
Fountain was closed between Academy Park Loop and Academy Boulevard while crews worked to clear the area. The truck, which was carrying trash, spilled it all over the road, and officials also reported a fuel spill.
Despite the rollover, the driver of the semi was not hurt.
