Fort Carson soldier missing for almost two weeks

FORT CARSON, COLO. -- Fort Carson officials have confirmed a soldier stationed on base is absent without leave (AWOL).

Private First Class Jamal Faulkner, better known by many as Daron Faulkner, has been missing for almost two weeks.

According to Faulkner's cousin LaTonya, Faulkner's supervisor called his Bladenboro, N.C. home to see if he was there on May 18, but his family hasn't seen him.

Officials at the Army base confirmed Faulkner's status as AWOL Thursday.

Faulkner is a black man, 6' tall and weighs 175 pounds with low-cut hair and a Bliss tattoo on his back. He drives a silver 2009 Dodge Charger.

He is assigned to the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division.
