Gunman in Halloween mask steals items from car

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A man and a woman were forced to leave their car by a man with a gun early Thursday morning.

Colorado Springs Police officers said the two were sitting in a car in the El Pomar Youth Sports field parking lot in the 2200 block of Executive Circle when a man in a Halloween mask came up to the car. He told the man in the driver's seat to get out, and when the victim said no, the masked man pulled out a gun.

The suspect pulled the driver out of the car and got in. The woman in the passenger seat got out, was able to get away from two other men who tried to grab her, and met the driver at a nearby McDonalds.

The three suspects stole items from the car and left. Officers said witnesses saw no suspect car, and they don't have descriptions.

The man had minor injuries, and the woman was not hurt.
