COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. -- A silver Hummer H-3 is, the only remnant of a shooting that took place inside the car and sent a man and woman to the emergency room with non-life threatening injuries.
"At some point what may be a domestic disturbance inside, a gun was introduced and went off inside."
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, the domestic disturbance started in the parking lot of the 7-eleven on Platte and Wahsatch Avenues Friday morning.
Just before 10 o'clock in the morning, a woman with a gunshot wound to her leg and hand arrived at Memorial Hospital.
Security personnel then found a male in the parking lot with a gunshot wound to the leg.
"Resorting to violence on a regular basis is disheartening because it's against the law. You cannot lay or hit on an intimate partner in any kind of violent manner," Sgt. Darren Abbink, of the Colorado Springs Police Department said.
CSPD is still working on full statement from the two people involved.
No one has been arrested or charged.
The Hummer has been impounded and police are executing a search warrant.
